Open Office is an office suite with alternatives for Word, Excel, Publisher, Access, and PowerPoint. Open Office has an inbuilt PDF maker and can open Microsoft files and save in the same formats. 
Gimp is an image file manipulator with which you can enhance, crop and generally manipulate logos and photos.
Firefox is our preferred browser, an alternative to Internet Explorer
Thunderbird is our choice of email client.
Adobe Acrobat is a reader for PDF files, you will need this if we supply you with an electronic proof.
